Trick or Treat?

I woke up this morning with the vague recollection that someone had mentioned we could possibly have some snow flurries last night, and sure enough, a quick glimpse of the back deck confirmed, that indeed we were having such flurries. Upon getting to work this morning, I was happy to see that despite it being not quite Halloween, we’re still getting a light snow. Witness the central campus area:

A view towards the University Bookstore showing slight snow accumulation
While the accumulation is nothing major, the neat thing is that as of 10:30 this morning, the snow is still falling! From what I understand, this years Woolly Worm Festival’s worm does indeed predict an old time style, harsh and heavy winter. I would welcome such a change of pace, being that the last few years have been pretty pathetic.

A pre-Halloween snow! Perhaps this is a sign of things to come?
To those whiners who are dismayed in the slightest to see it snowing before Halloween, I say: LET IT SNOW!
