Shipping Container Resources

Das Machine is nicht fur gefingerpoken und mittengrabben. Ist easy schnappen der springenwerk, blowenfusen und poppencorken mit spitzensparken...

Lately, I have been envisioning a collective structure that could possibly assembled from multiple 20 ft. and 40 ft. shipping containers into a very familar technology-inspired form.

My current drawing board models are napkin sketches for quickly capturing the essence of the idea, and so are not to scale.

The next illustrations will be more thorough and will likely incorporate actual shipping containers. The issue of proper scale will be addressed as well.

Combining LAND and other concepts from groups such as N55, this daydream could do something quite useful to a subset of persons with similar outdoor-centric interests.

The emergence of architecture based upon these versatile shipping containers makes for very exciting times particularly with respect to adaption of this method to various climates and locales. Some general resources pertaining to structure designs using shipping containers are provided at right.
